Next Generation Engagement in UK Family Business

This research report, produced by researchers from the University of Bradford School of Management and Lancaster University Management School, investigates the nature and extent of next generation engagement, identifies best practices that business families might adopt and the pitfalls that they might avoid. The report draws on findings from an in-depth study of next generation engagement in the UK which included a survey of senior family business leaders and next generation members; interviews and focus groups with business family members; and a series of case studies of family firms that have reached the third generation and beyond.

“Next Generation Engagement in UK Family Business” was researched and written by Carole Howorth, Caroline Parkinson, Claire Leitch and Valerie Stead.
