The Largest Family Businesses in the UK

This report reveals that one in five of the largest businesses in the UK are family-owned, with over one in ten owned by UK families. The report also shows that the prevalence of family businesses amongst the UK’s largest businesses has been stable over the past few years, with around three-quarters of the large family firms identified by researchers in 2016 still operating family businesses with a turnover of more than £500m in 2020.
